Kevin Dineen, (retired 2002, now head coach for the Portland Pirates) set an NHL Franchise Record for the quickest goal scored in a game when he beat the Montreal Canadien's goalie only ten seconds into the game. The Whalers then went on to win the game 4-2.
In more recent times, Belarus scored against Finland only 5 seconds into the game. Check that goal out below:
