After an impressive game last Saturday against Team USA where he wracked up six points (3 goals, three assists), Rough Rider defensive Bryce Aneloski has been named CCM's Defensive Player of the week. The points tie the record set by former Rough Rider Kyle Flannigan for the most points scored by a single player in an USHL game in Nov. 2008.
It's great to see a kid that was brought in this season expecting to only develop really shine for once. Perhaps the lack of expectation only has made him work harder. Regardless, he's catching the eye of fans.
He has also caught the eye of college coaches. Around 12 hours ago it was confirmed that Aneloski has accepted a scholarship to the University of Nebraska-Omaha. Not too shabby for a 19 year old from Pekin, Illinois.
Congrats Bryce!
