This should be a great game to go to this season. Not so much because I think it's going to be a duel to the death for the "W," but because it's the first time that the new 'atmosphere' at the Stable will be tested out to its full potential. Hopefully things go smoothly and nothing that's new gets destroyed on the first night (but you never know).

University of Iowa Ice Hawks
The University of Iowa Ice Hawks travel to Indianapolis this weekend to take on Purdue University. Hopefully with legs begging to move after the car ride they can out-skate, out-pass and out-play Purdue. I will update scores as they become available.

- Born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, I have been playing hockey (goalie) for the past ten years on youth, travel and girls high school teams. Last season I played for the University of Iowa's D2 club JV team, the Ice Hawks. Due to injury I am no longer able to play competitively, but I still enjoy hitting the ice as often as I can.
