Mixed Weekend for Ice Hawks

The University of Iowa GOLD Ice Hawks had a rough weekend against RMC-Peoria (Maroon).

Friday night was full of penalties (with the Ice Hawks website hilariously saying "the sin bin door opened and closed more times then a call girl in Amsterdam.") Jeremy Posner was in net, taking the loss 3-4. He had 32 saves on 36 shots. The Hawks had 27 shots on goal.

Saturday night was an all-out massacre as the Ice Hawks fell by a score of 1-8. The team fell apart and was not able to recover quickly enough to keep goaltender Will Dodge from becoming target practice. Hopefully the boys can pick it up and start wracking up the "W"s again this season.

The University of Iowa BLACK Ice Hawks split their weekend series with Marquette University. On Friday night the team added another "W" to their record with a 5-3 win (goals by O'Toole, Marsek and Sladek). Saturday night the team was beat to hell in a ten minute stretch losing by a final score of 6-11.
